 Little miss Sarah Silverman has done it again.  We are shocked, we are appalled, and we are laughing uncontrollably.  For those of you who are not familiar, Silverman is an outlandish Jewish comedienne who is known for making highly inappropriate jokes and challenging controversial subject matter.  She uses humor as a tactic to confront racial, ethnic, religious, and gender based stereotypes.  What I have always appreciated about Sarah Silverman, is that she is an all encompassing woman (smart, funny, attractive) and she is always the first to make fun of herself.

Leah Platkin :: Sarah Silverman's memoir:THE BEDWETTER

One of her comedy sketch characters is a stereotypical "Jewish American Princess."  This style of self-deprecating humor is used by many other outspoken comedians such as Dave Chapelle.  One also might say that this style of comedy stems from  Yiddish humor.  Some might initially misconstrue her humor as offensive, however, after digging a little deeper will come to understand that this is her attempt to decrease ignorance and keep people informed.

 Silverman's new book, The Bedwetter is a satirical memoir which does not leave out any dirty details.  From her chronic bedwetting and emotional struggles during adolescence to her career in Hollywood, she does not skip a beat.  This narrative is up close and personal.  If you can handle the profanity, inappropriate jokes, and lewd photos, I challenge you to read The Bedwetter!
