Someone I know must go out with this man immediatly! He is attempting to fix the great rift between the most famous, strangest and dueling sub-cultures in Brooklyn through anonymous personal ads. To check out the ad: http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/m4w/1560768699.html Scantily clad women on the bike lane - m4w - 26 (Williamsburg)
Its been cold for a while now and I miss seeing you ride thru my hood on your homemade 1950's bikes.
Its true, sometimes you get angry with my homies for stepping into the bike lane or double parking and stuff. But in general you're so friendly and smiling. You wear the cutest glasses, your own idea of cute hair cuts drives me insane. It makes me wanna hug you and take you home with me. (Where we will be welcomed with a ticker parade from my lurking neighbors)
You and me are the mix the rebbe's are afraid of, sorry for them. For us however, its a match made in heaven. We should do this.
If a "Fiddler on the roof" dance with a hot Hasidic dude is in your fantasy, you should ring me up. Let's have a few shots of slivowitz in a Williamsburg, Bushwick, fort green or Bedsty pub. We can multi culturalize and sort out the issue of the "hole in the sheet" and other questions you and I may have and bring world peace a step further

Bike Snob NYC has written a great commentary on the planned, but unexecuted plan to do a naked bike ride through the Hassidic community that got bike lanes removed from their street. "This underscores a fundamental requirement of outrageous protest, which is that if you say you're going to do something crazy you need to at least follow through with it." Full article here

Two weeks ago, the City removed bike lanes in South Williamsburg, a primarily Hassidic community. Influential parts of the Hassidic community have been vocally unhappy about the lanes attracting scantily clad women bikers and bikers who don't follow traffic laws. Simon Weisser, a member of Community Board 1, tells the Post, "I have to admit, it's a major issue, women passing through here in that dress code. It bothers me, and it bothers a lot of people."
